The Computer Science Reading Party

The Reading Party is held at The Burn near Edzell. This is a large old house in beautiful surroundings, with a bar, games room, tennis courts, croquet lawn, etc.

Pictures from the 2008 reading party are available here (local access only for now).

Publicly accessible pictures will be made available soon.

Purpose

The main purpose is to allow students to practise giving (non-assessed) presentations in a very informal setting - useful practise for the various assessed presentations given during honours. There are also opportunities for outdoor activities, eating and drinking, general discussion, and feedback to staff on likes and dislikes about the School.

Blog

See the Burn blog, at the Computer Science Blogs site, for an insight into what goes on at the undergraduate reading party.
