School of Computer Science Staff Handbook
Welcome to the School of Computer Science at St Andrews. The Head of School is Prof. Alan Dearle. This handbook is intended to give you general information that you may need if you are a member of staff or a research student in the School of Computer Science. It contains information about who we are and the way we do things, how we organise laboratories and tutorials, and what to do or whom to see if you have a problem. There is a University staff handbook which is a general pointer to University-wide information for all staff. Our staff not only teach: they are all active researchers. You can find out more by looking at the School Research web pages.
There are several student handbooks published by the School of Computer Science. These contain important information relating to the modules we offer in the school and what we require of our students.
The University Student Handbook contains relevant and important information on a variety of issues. This includes details on: Academic Information, Academic Regulations and Codes of Practice, Employment, Financial Information, Health, Library and Information Services, Student Organisations, Student Services and Student Support and Guidance. The School
