GAP 4 Package Circle

Adjoint groups of finite rings

Description
The Circle package extends the GAP functionality for computations in adjoint groups of associative rings. It provides functionality to construct circle objects that will respect the circle multiplication r * s = r + s + rs, to create multiplicative structures, generated by such objects, and to compute adjoint semigroups and adjoint groups of finite rings.

The version 1.0 of the Circle package was submitted for consideration to the GAP Council on July 25, 2006. The package became accepted since the version Circle 1.3.1 released on January 17, 2008.

Documentation
UnitLib documentation is a part of its distribution (see next section). To preview the documentation, select one of the following formats: The file PackageInfo.g with Circle package meta-information used by GAP 4.4 package loading mechanism is located here.

Downloads
Circle does not use external binaries and, therefore, works without restrictions on the type of the operation system. It is designed for GAP 4.4, and is not compatible with previous releases of GAP 4. To use Circle online help it is necessary to install the GAP 4 package GAPDoc by Frank Luebeck and Max Neunhoeffer, which is available from the GAP site or from http://www.math.rwth-aachen.de/~Frank.Luebeck/GAPDoc/.
