CP Pod is a distributed research group on Constraint Programming founded by Ian Gent, Patrick Prosser, and Barbara Smith in December 2003. The word Pod for a research group was stolen from the PEA Pod.
CP Pod is an offshoot of the APES group, of which Ian, Patrick and Barbara were also founder members. CP Pod was founded to bring together the senior UK members of APES and their specific research interests. Current sites involved in CP Pod are the University of Glasgow, the University of Leeds, and the University of St Andrews.
