LaTeX Thesis Class

This is a LaTeX document class conforming to the Durham University thesis guidelines. It should be easily adaptable to other Universities' requirements; I know this because I adapted it myself from one originally written by Robert Bernecky for the University of Toronto.

To use it, download duthesis.tgz, untar it by typing tar zxvf duthesis.tgz, put the two files duthesis.cls and crest.ps in the same directory as your thesis, and use duthesis as your document class.

The crest is the old Durham University crest, so you'll probably need to get a new one. One day I may chase this up; if you happen to use this class and update the crest, please send it to me and I'll update it here too.

Additional commands which are defined are:

There is also an environment called acknowledgements which is, of course, for your acknowledgements...
