Publications:
When chairing timed talks, I use a countdown presentation in powerpoint. I find this very helpful as chair and to speakers, if pointed at them in slideshow mode. I got this from Igor Markov, who got it from somebody else, but unlike an urban legend the thing really exists.
I lectured the Senior Honours module CS3018 Artificial Intelligence, 1999-2000
Judith Underwood works at Barco..
Judith's PhD thesis was on extracting computational content from classical
proofs. She is also my wife.
This
is me with her in late 1991 or early 1992.
David Gent lectures at South Birmingham College. His claim that his brother can juggle six balls can be taken with a pinch of salt.
Scotch Whisky tour maintained by John Butler at Edinburgh University.
I have composed four chess problems which have been published. Sometime I should put the other two on-line.
