The first and last snaps seem especially appealing to Ian at first glance. The photos of Sarah standing up in the playpen (kindly donated by the Lintons) is also the first time that we know she pulled herself to standing by herself.
Ian might have set the flash to redeye reduction, perhaps explaining the darkness of a lot of the snaps. Or there may be another reason. The exact date of some photos is unknown because the battery was so low that the date had to be reset.
