Research

Cloud computing affords organisations the unprecedented ability to deploy large scale systems for minimal costs. Cloud hosted systems can exploit rapid elasticity and change in scale and function at a moments notice. This creates a challenge for current monitoring solutions which are unequipped for collecting and analysing data from large, rapidly changing systems. This necessitates the development of new, highly scalable tools which can more effectively monitor large scale systems.

My research centers around investigating new architectures and paradigms to facilitate large scale system monitoring. Areas of interest include autonomic systems, data intensive computing, cloud computing and P2P.
