SCOFPIG

Scottish Functional Parallel Interest Group

We are an informal organisation with a pan-Scottish membership (mainly from the Central Belt of Scotland).

SCOFPIG Charter

The aim of SCOFPIG to promote research in functional parallel programming, including but not restricted to higher-order parallel programming, implicit parallelism, data parallelism, parallel program derivation and algorithmic skeletons. This will be achieved by fostering contacts between the various Scottish research groups.

Meetings

Meetings are open and informal. We aim for meetings to cover a series of short (30 min) research talks aimed at stimulating discussion. Talks can be on finished work, work in progress or position statements. We expect to arrange 2-3 meetings per year.
